Penske Truck Leasing has selected Locaid, the world’s largest Location-as-a-Service company, as the network mobile location provider for its 24/7 roadside assistance service.

“Whether it is through truck leasing or truck contract maintenance, the one thing our customers’ drivers have in common is that they’re mobile,” said Peter J. Lubin, Director – Utility & Telecommunications Services, Penske. “Locaid’s network coverage and ability to locate drivers, regardless of device, and report back in real time was the obvious choice to add value to our services.”

Locaid worked with Penske to develop a custom interface that integrates directly into the company’s 24/7 service to support levels of visibility and tracking. Integrating network mobile location allows Penske to locate over 423 million wireless devices on tier one and two networks in real time.

“…the unrivalled reach of Locaid’s location data will make Penske’s 24/7 roadside assistance service the leading solution in the industry,” says Rip Gerber, President & CEO of Locaid.
