Economists tapped for upcoming Aftermarket Dialogue event

Dr. Bob Dieli of RDLB, Inc. and Bill Strauss of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago have been announced as presenters at the fourth annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue (HDAD) conference, the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) and MacKay & Company announced Monday.

Dieli and Strauss’s presentation, titled The Economics of the HD Aftermarket, will review an array of topics affecting the industry outlook for 2017. The topics to be covered include a comprehensive examination of factors affecting the trucking industry such as employment, utilization and profitability. In addition, matters such as new trends in fiscal and monetary policy, changes in foreign markets and the regulatory environment will be part of their agenda, organizers says.

Additionally, organizers say Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue will feature discussions that include: Structure and Trends of the Current Heavy Duty Aftermarket; Meeting the Parts and Service Needs of Today’s Fleet; The Current Architecture of the Private Label; and The Battle of the Channels.
