Milwaukee Tool introduces the M12 LED Underhood Light.
The ideal solution for technicians in service shops or fleet maintenance, the new light delivers 1350 lumens of TRUEVIEW High Definition light for full engine coverage and clarity.
“There are a number of unique challenges for mechanics working on a vehicle. When working under the hood, mechanics rely on underhood lights to flood the engine bay with light. Leveraging our leadership in cordless and LED technology, Milwaukee is delivering the first cordless underhood light to provide high-output, high-quality task lighting capable of a full day’s worth of work without the inconvenience of a cord,” says Ben Cabot, Product Manager for Milwaukee Tool.
Equipped with an M12 4.0 XC battery, the new light can achieve up to 8 hours of run-time, Milwaukee says. Capable of extending 47 to 78 in.to cover a wide range of cars, trucks, and fleet vehicles, the M12 LED Underhood Light’s light bar can be rotated, slid, removed, or hung for added versatility and flexibility to suit the needs of the application at hand. A stainless steel hook allows users the option to easily hook the light under the car for hands-free use, the company says.
Constructed with a durable high impact polycarbonate lens and aircraft aluminum frame, the new light is built to endure the toughest environments. Additionally, Milwaukee says its impact and chemical-resistant lens helps it withstand contact with corrosive chemicals in garages and survive a drop from a lifted vehicle.
Similar to all of Milwaukee’s high output LED lights, the new underhood light also features a limited lifetime LED warranty, and a 5-year warranty on the product, the company says.
