Donaldson Company announces Paul David Miller, Admiral, United States Navy (Retired), has retired from its Board of Directors. The announcement was made the company’s Annual Meeting of Stockholders on Dec. 22, 2015.

Admiral Miller, 73, was ineligible to stand for reelection to the Donaldson Board of Directors due to having reached the Board’s mandatory retirement age.

“Admiral Miller joined our Board in 2001, and has served with distinction during his tenure, including service on both our Audit and Corporate Governance Committees,” says Bill Cook, Donaldson’s chairman. “He provided strong leadership and guidance to me and the rest of our Board, reinforced by insights he gained throughout his career. Our company’s Board of Directors, employees, and shareholders have greatly benefited from his loyal support, wise counsel, and the many contributions he made to the growth and success of our company.”

Admiral Miller served as chairman and chief executive officer of Alliant Techsystems, Inc. (ATK) following his distinguished 30-year career in the U.S. Navy, which included Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Atlantic Command and NATO Supreme Allied Commander – Atlantic. He has also served on the Boards of other public companies, including Teledyne Technologies and Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc., Donaldson says.
