For the second year in a row, HDAW will be preceded by Service Opportunities and Learning Day (SOLD), a heavy-duty training course designed to provide educational courses for aftermarket service operations.
SOLD debuted on Monday before HDAW ‘13 this past January and was a huge success, offering four educational sessions for service providers.
Next year’s event also will be held the Monday before HDAW on Jan. 27, 2014 at the Mirage in Las Vegas, and is shaping up to be even bigger.
SOLD ’14 will include the following five educational programs: “Service – The Independent Aftermarket’s Final Frontier” by Bill Wade, Wade & Partners; “Navigating New Service Channels” by Molly MacKay, MacKay & Company; “Making Change Stick in Shops” by Dave Kwinn, MSOE; “The Future of Affiliate Marketing Service Shop Programs,” a panel presentation by each heavy-duty group and “Expanding Parts/Service Opportunities Using Analytics” by Bruce Merrifield, Merrifield Consulting.
SSA is serving as the lead sponsor for this year’s event, with HDA Truck Pride, Power Heavy and VIPAR Heavy Duty also serving as additional sponsors. Registration is just $99 for members of each sponsoring organization, and space is limited.
