Timken expands medium-duty portfolio

News Truck Parts and Service Staff November 6, 2013

The Timken Company announces an expansion of its product portfolio of tapered roller bearing sets, hub units and seals for medium-duty vehicles, including commercial vans, delivery trucks, bucket trucks and other fleet vehicles.

“We and our distributors see strong opportunities targeting the medium-duty vehicle market sector,” says Thomas Tecklenburg, director of commercial vehicle original equipment and automotive aftermarket for Timken. “Today, nearly 40 percent of commercial vehicles are considered medium-duty and that number is growing as businesses increasingly opt for smaller vehicles to save fuel costs, particularly for in-city deliveries.”

Customers can see the expanding line of Timken bearings and hub units for medium-duty vehicles at www.TimkenInfo.com. The company says the easy-to-use database lists available Timken bearings and hub units for specific vehicle models and years.
