Tips for maintaining proper tire pressure

Pressure Systems International (PSI) has released its October issue of the Commercial Fleet Tire Digest, which focuses on maintaining proper air pressure in tires.

PSI says maintaining proper tire air pressure is still the primary tire-related issue facing commercial trucking fleets today. Proper air pressure maximizes tire removal mileage, fuel economy, improves retreadability of a tire casing and reduces tire-related roadside service calls

“With the average price of a radial truck tire in the $500 range, fleets take tires and their tire program very seriously. Air is what carries the load so air pressure is critical to all the important tire related issues,” the company says.

PSI goes on to offer guidance on why tires lose air, and the methods drivers and technicians can take to reduce these instances and maximize tire performance. To read more, please CLICK HERE.
