The top aftermarket products of 2018: No. 2

Updated May 16, 2019

Holding the penultimate spot on the Truck Parts & Service top products of 2018 list is Snap-on’s IQON line of tool storage cabinets.

Snap-on introduced its IQON line of roll cabinets in the spring, which featured a taller profile for more better ergonomics and improved visibility. The KCP1422 IQON, the first roll cab in the series, features three 50-in. full-width drawers, each with four bottom supports designed so larger every-day-use tools can be moved from lower to higher drawers for greater accessibility.

The company says the SpeeDrawer provides a customizable drawer divider system for small parts and tools, and the PowerDrawer offers an in-drawer charging system with five offset 110 V outlets and a curved front section with two quick-access USB outlets.

IQON cabinets, which are engineered and built in the U.S., also feature extra case corner gussets, which reinforce the entire structure, preventing cabinet racking and allowing use of additional drawer space by eliminating the need for a crossbar to support the middle.

The fully-welded drawers include ball-bearing slides that support up to 227 lb. per drawer and up to 554 lb. on the double slide drawers. Additional lower cabinet welds ensure these cabinets are manufactured to endure everyday use. As an added strength benefit, the top edges of the side walls are doubled down 360 degrees and then inward 90 degrees to create a plane for welding to the top panel, Snap-on says.

The IQON line is available in more than 10 different color schemes.
