Countdown 2

Guess who’s back? Back again. Snap-on’s back, with a wrench.

After earning the top spot in our Trucks, Parts, Service top products countdown in 2018 and 2019 — and the No. 5 spot this year — Snap-on’s quest for a three-peat atop our countdown has come up just short. The company’s second and final product on this year’s list, its high-output cordless impact wrench, clocks in at No. 2.

Snap-on 1/2 in. drive cordless impact wrench, CT9075Snap-on said 18-volt wrench, which debuted in June, is the company’s most powerful 1/2 in., drive cordless wrench. Designed for heavy-duty applications that demand consistent high performance, it has 900 ft.-lb. tightening torque and 1,200 ft.-lb. breakaway torque, the company said.

Featuring a digital microprocessor-controlled switch that maximizes performance with three forward and reverse settings, the tool is able to adapt to various applications. Snap-on said these settings are independent of each other to provide the technician the ability to use the impact wrench in full power in one direction and partial in another without using the selector switch.

It weighs 8.7 lb., with the battery, features a 100-lumen LED headlight to illuminate workspaces, and comes with two MonsterLithium batteries and charger with a built-in USB port. It has a two-year warranty on the tool, charger and battery, the company added.
