VIPAR Heavy Duty launches COVID-19 support center for stockholders

In the early weeks since the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, VIPAR Heavy Duty has launched several resources for its distributors, including a COVID-19 information center and stockholder discussion forum, to assist with business operations during the pandemic.

The organization also named a dedicated COVID-19 coordinator to deliver relevant and timely information to its distributor network.

“Our distributors and supplier partners are together on the front line playing a crucial role in supporting the transportation industry and our mutual end-user customers,” says Chris Baer, president and CEO, VIPAR Heavy Duty. “With the length of the U curve looking a bit longer than originally anticipated, VIPAR Heavy Duty is focused on taking care of our people and keeping our network well-informed and well-equipped to remain healthy and sustain business operations.”

VIPAR Heavy Duty says its COVID-19 information center provides a single source for distributors to access information on legislation, financial programs, business webinars and resources available from industry, state and federal organizations covering the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The group also has launched an online discussion forum where stockholders can share their experiences and offer support and advice to their peers. Discussion threads address business topics related to COVID-19, as well as other areas of interest within the heavy-duty aftermarket.

Acknowledging the important role of suppliers within the supply chain, VIPAR Heavy Duty says it is working with its supplier partners to help distributors stay informed on the status of operations, availability of product and developing additional support to assist distributors in managing the impact COVID-19 is having on business.

“Our ongoing response to COVID-19 and the resources and tools we are providing to our network are effective ways we can lead,” says Baer.
