HDMA, Power Systems Research webinar to address COVID-19’s impact on off-highway equipment

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), the commercial vehicle division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association, has announced a webinar on the impact of COVID-19 on off-highway equipment in North America.

Presented as part of HDMA’s Pulse Webinar series, the webinar will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, from 1-2 p.m. EDT and is free to HDMA members.

For this webinar, HDMA is teaming up with Power Systems Research, a source of global production, forecast and population data for equipment and vehicles powered by IC engines and electric and hybrid powertrains. The webinar will cover the pandemic’s effects on North American demand and production in the agricultural and construction segments, as well as on demand and supply chain in Europe and Asia.

HDMA says topics will include:

  • Current and forecast impact of COVID-19 on production of off-highway equipment in North America
  • Ramifications of the pandemic on key drivers for production and demand in the agricultural and construction segments
  • Effects on demand and supply chain in Europe and Asia, relating to their effect on production in North America

Speakers on the webinar will include Jim Downey, vice president, global data products, Power Systems Research; Yosyf Sheremeta, PhD, director of production, management and customer Experience, Power Systems Research; and Richard Anderson director, market research and analysis, HDMA.
