GPA Training announced this week in its continual effort to serve customers in the trucking industry and children’s charities, has released “Sales Training Now,” a version of its entire sales and customer service training for individual consumption.

The company says the training program may be found at www.salestrainingnow.net and includes 57 modules and tests; 13 courses; and 100+ printable resources. The training programs works on on all devices, and a general version also exists for sales and customer service in any industry (i.e. for your customers and theirs). The eLearning also is open access (anyone with the link may access), the company says.

“With staff operating in various degrees — remote, rotations, furlough days, etc. — some individuals and companies are looking to develop themselves and staff. We want to make that as easy as possible,” says Ian Coburn, president, GPA Training. “The virus reminds us we must hone and maintain our complete set of skills. For instance, those who excel in face-to-face meetings but never developed phone skills, may be daunted right now.”

A key reason Coburn started GPA Training was because he learned this lesson back at 9/11 — he was selling office supplies and top sales reps who were great in-person but shunned the phone, suddenly found themselves locked out of buildings and unable to adapt.

“I realized then we needed complete sales training, focusing on developing all our skills,” he says, adding he then set out on a nearly 20-year venture to provide the necessary training as eLearning. Company-wide versions of the training program remain available, as well.

GPA Training intends to continue to offer the eLearning training program as-is for individual consumption, following the conquering of the virus. While the content is available complimentary, GPA does ask for a $10 donation per person, 20 percent of which goes to children’s charities, a passion of Coburn’s (details on the site).

“During times like these, such charities tend to get overlooked, while the children and families they support continue to face their same challenges and will following the virus’ demise,” he says.
