Horton is expanding its modular fan family with the upcoming release of the HM1400 Modular Molded-Blade Fan.
Engineered for a variety of on- and off-highway applications such as compressors, generator sets and fracking units, Horton says the HM1400 offers all of the benefits of the Horton HTEC fan family, including increased airflow and efficiency, at a reduced weight and size compared to a standard Horton molded blade. This combination allows for a highly customizable performance to meet engine cooling needs in mid-range fan diameters, Horton says.
Crafted from nylon, the HM1400 Fan is compatible with Horton and competitive fan drives. Additionally, the product can be customized to specific application requirements, including straight and tapered bores, and is available in a variety of blade counts and center-disk diameters, the company says.
Additionally, Horton says the HM1400 Fan utilizes the most efficient as-designed blades, with untrimmed tips for optimal airflow and cooling. The fan is also modular and can be prototyped quickly, allowing customers to test a variety of blade counts and features to optimize engine performance.
“The addition of the HM1400 Fan to the Horton modular fan family is a perfect example of how Horton is consistently innovating and designing solutions for the needs of our customers,” says Kevin Hruby, product manager at Horton. “This product leverages the benefits of our popular HTEC Fan, while simultaneously reducing the weight of the overall cooling package.”
