Cummins-Meritor announced regional brake training events on Monday. The program, which focuses on maintenance and repair of heavy-duty commercial vehicle brakes, will come to 14 cities across the U.S.
They are:
- Lakeland, Fla., June 12.
- Atlanta, June 25.
- Long Island, N.Y., July 9.
- Birmingham, Ala., July 17.
- Deerfield Beach, Fla.. Aug. 7.
- Novi, Mich., Aug. 27.
- Louisville, Ky., Sept. 4.
- Pittsburgh, Sept. 10.
- Seattle, Sept. 24.
- Minneapolis, Oct. 8.
- Syracuse, N.Y., Oct. 15.
- Philadelphia, Oct. 22.
- Baltimore, Oct. 29.
- Arlington, Texas, Nov. 13.
Each training event is condensed into a four-hour format. Training will be offered morning and afternoon at each location.

"Our trainings cover critical areas such as brake adjustment, brake balance, automatic slack adjusters, reduced stopping distance (RSD), preventative maintenance and inspection, and diagnostic procedures," says Joseph Baumer, technical training manager at Cummins-Meritor. "Our last regional training events were held in 2020 and we are proud to bring them back as part of our comprehensive aftermarket training offering."
These in-person events compliment Cummins-Meritor's online training portal, BullPen, which offers a range of on-demand training that's accessible 24/7.
