“Truck operators spend a lot of time behind the wheel, so maintaining a consistent and comfortable cab temperature is important for driver productivity, health and safety,” says Jeff Hughes, TRP development manager.
TRP’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning system components are engineered and tested to be efficient and environmentally friendly, the company says. All of TRP’s HVAC replacement parts are manufactured and tested to meet or exceed industry standards.
TRP receiver dryers feature a spring-loaded design that keeps desiccant under pressure. This prevents desiccant from moving around and becoming pulverized into a finer powder and escaping from the dryer. Loose desiccant can clog orifice tubes and expansion valves and eventually contaminate the compressor, the company says.
The TRP HVAC program also features replacement blower motors that operate to industry specs, ensuring windshields defrost quickly and completely, the company says. The performance and power supply of TRP blower motors match those on original blower motors, TRP says, so they last as long as the motors they replace and produce the same amount of airflow. TRP blower motors also include radio frequency interference protection.
TRP also says its heater cores provide strong, consistent heating by using a “blend-air” system for temperature control. TRP heater cores are made of aluminum alloy, and the company says they are strong and lighter weight, a key consideration for truck and bus operators watching their vehicles’ weight.
