Old River Companies broke ground on its newest location in Jennings, La., last week.

With construction already underway, Old River says the $10 million dealership is set to open in early 2026 and will specialize in selling and servicing semi-trucks, including Mack and Volvo.

The new dealership will be located at 3346 I-10 Frontage Road and will include a 50,000 sq.-ft., facility on 17 acres. The new dealership is in such a centralized location, Old River will be merging its Lake Charles and Breaux Bridge locations with the new facility in Jennings. Lee White, CEO, believes Jennings is the perfect location to house his new facility.

“For us, it will consolidate two businesses to better serve Southwest Louisiana, especially along I-10. For our customers, it will mean a better, newer and nicer facility,” he says.

Old River Companies currently has more than 200 employees company wide. General Manager John Bays states while 40 employees will be transferring to Jennings, the company plans to create at least 20 more positions for area residents.

Attendees of the event included Jennings Mayor Henry Guinn, Volvo Regional Vice President Scott Parten, Mack Regional Vice President Kent Thompson, Rich Barker, Regional Vice President Volvo and Mack Financial Services, members from the Jeff Davis Parish Economic Development, representatives of Volvo and Mack, as well as community leaders and guests.
