The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Autocar is recalling certain 2020-2024 DC (Legend) vehicles. The wiring harness may route fusible links too closely to other components.During a short circuit, the fusible link may ignite nearby material, increasing the risk of a fire. NHTSA says potentially 597 units are affected by the recall.
  • Autocar is recalling certain 2020-2024 DC (Legend) vehicles. The hazard warning lights may not function independent of the ignition switch. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS)  number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Warning lights that do not illuminate when the ignition switch is in the OFF position can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 398 units are affected by the recall.
  • Autocar is recalling certain 2022-2023 DC (Legend) dump trucks. The upper hoist cylinder mounting pin may fail. A pin failure can allow the hoist to fall, increasing the risk of injury. In addition, the hoist cylinder can disconnect from the vehicle, becoming a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 41 units are affected by the recall.
  • Forest River is recalling certain 2021-2022 Forest River Cardinal, Wildcat, 2018-2019 Cedar Creek, 2021 Columbus, 2023 Continental Cargo, 2021-2024 Dynamax DX3, Dynamax Dynaquest XL, Dynamax Isata, Forest River IBEX, 2022-2024 Dynamax Europa, Forest River NOBO, 2022-2023 Forest River Sandstorm, Shockwave, Stealth, and 2021-2023 Dynamax Force trailers. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat. A circuit board that overheats increases the risk of a fire. NHTSA says potentially 4,480 units are affected by the recall.
  • Forest River is recalling certain 2024 Cardinal and Wildcat Fifth Wheels trailers. The operator may utilize the rear towing hitch without locking the turning point fifth wheel hitch into the "Conventional Transport" position. Towing while in a different position can cause the upper front structure to break and the pin box to separate from the vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 100 units are affected by the recall.
  • Keystone RV Company is recalling certain 2024 Keystone Retreat, Residence 40CLDL, Residence 401CLDL, Dutchmen Aspen Trail 421LOFT, and Crossroads Hampton 390PVL trailers. The equalizer may provide inadequate clearance, allowing the axle to contact the frame. Contact between the axle and the frame increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 214 units are affected by the recall.
