The following employment announcements were made in the trucking industry the week of Jan. 9, 2023:
- Marx Buscemi Eisbrenner Group (MBE Group) has hired Liz Kramer as senior account director.
- Michael C. Buzzard, a partner with Schwartz Advisors, is the new chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation Scholarship Committee.
- Truck-Lite has appointed Jon Stineman as president of U.S. operations. Stineman has been with Truck-Lite since 1998 and most recently served as vice president of sales at Clarience Technologies, parent company of Truck-Lite.
- Tim Donahue, owner and president of Shamrock Utility Trailers, has died. He was 55.Donahue also had been a National Trailer Dealers Association (NTDA) board member since 1995.
- Liz Goad has been promoted to executive director of events for MEMA, the Vehicle Suppliers Association.
- Hyliion recently appointed Jay Craig as president of its board of directors. Craig joined the board in February 2022. Prior to his time with Hyliion, Craig served as Meritor's CEO.
- Phillips Connect has made several key promotions: Amber White to vice president of marketing; Mandy Garza to senior director of customer service; Kim Struble to director of business applications;Todd Thibault to director of field services; Megan Anderson to senior channel sales manager; Gary Chen to senior firmware test engineer; Jakub Podgorski to staff process engineer; Justine Brakefield to IoT deployment project manager; Joshua Frakes to field engineer; Carlos Samaniego to RMA manager, and Renato Motta to manager of application engineering.
- MEMA, the Vehicle Suppliers Association, has named Collin Shaw as its chief commercial vehicle officer and chief operating officer of its OE group. It also has named Mike Jackson executive director of strategy and research and Megan Gardner as executive director of marketing and communications.
- FTR has appointed Jonathan Starks to CEO and Jami Sargent to COO. Previous CEO Eric Starks has transitioned to chairman of the board.
- Hyzon Motors appointed John Edgley as president of international operations.
- Alliant Power has added Jeff DeCarlis as vice president of sales and marketing, effective Jan. 1.
- Dave Amato has been named sales manager for Northern Radiator.
