Who’s in the news: Our weekly trucking employment report

    The following employment announcements were made in the trucking industry the week of Feb. 19, 2024:

    • Jamil Young is the new president of Fontaine Modification. Paul Kokalis, the previous president, is moving to a strategic role at the Transportation Products Group of Marmon Holdings, Fontaine's parent company. Fontaine also restructured, combing heavy truck operations and work truck and EV solutions into a single company led by Young. Mike Randolph, the former president of work truck and EV solutions, is now vice president of sales and marketing for the combined organization. 
    • Andrew Wrobel was recently appointed commercial vehicle insight strategist at NTEA, The Work Truck Association. 
    • Phillips Connect introduced five new sales executives. John Higgins, Brian Hugie, Thomas Ness and Ali Gullen Saer are all in smart fleet solutions. Brett Jackson is the new vice president of sales engineering. 
    • Rick Brewster is the new vice president of sales and marketing at Ramsey Industries.
    • Double Coin has appointed Patrick Etheridge as regional sales manager for the Mid-South/Rocky Mountain Region. 
    • NTN Bearing Corporation, the parent company of BCA Bearings and Bower Bearings, has added Kevin Huckins to its Automotive Aftermarket sales team as regional sales manager, Western Region.
