The Motor & Equipment Remanufacturers Association (MERA) will host its next meeting of the MERA CEO Council before the start of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2016 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at The Mirage in Las Vegas.

The time and venue were chosen to give council members the opportunity to attend the MERA Remanufacturing Industry Reception at HDAW the same evening.

MERA says the council agenda will include a discussion with John Blodgett, vice president, sales & marketing, MacKay & Company, on trends in the commercial vehicle sector — in both the OE market and the aftermarket. The agenda will also include an executive insight session led by Russ Schinzing, president, Electronics Remanufacturing Company, and Mark Aiello, partner and co-chairman, automotive practice, Foley & Lardner. Schnzing and Aiello will discuss intellectual property and how it relates to the right to remanufacture, MERA says.

Also on the agenda, a member roundtable discussion will be led by MERA CEO Council Chairman David Overbeeke, who is president and CEO, Brake Parts Inc. Elevating the role of remanufacturing in today’s world is one of the roundtable topics.

Presidents and CEOs from MERA member companies are strongly encouraged to register and attend. MERA says the meeting will begin with lunch and will provide other opportunities for networking.
