Dana Incorporated announced Monday it will showcase two new products at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) this week in Las Vegas. The company  has added the SPL 250 Lite driveshaft to its genuine Spicer line-up and expanded the Spicer Select portfolio to cover the Meritor Permalube RPL Series to better serve vehicle operators.

Dana says the new SPL 250 Lite aftermarket replacement offering simplifies installation with a press-in midship assembly and includes the complete driveshaft, coupling shaft, and service components.  It does not require torque wrenches or boot clamps for ease of service. Designed to handle torque ratings up to 25,000 Nm, Dana says the SPL 250 Lite driveshaft is up to 25 lb. lighter than competitive products.  It shares service components with the SPL 350 and SPL 250 driveshafts, further simplifying inventory for aftermarket outlets and service facilities.

Dana adds SPL 250 Lite assemblies are built on order, while service parts are offered through the company’s Crossville, Tenn., distribution center.

“Dana is committed to providing a wide range of driveline replacement options to our channel partners so they can offer the right solutions to their customers,” says Dan Griffin, senior director, global aftermarket sales, marketing, and customer service, Dana.  “The SPL 250 Lite addresses the needs of vehicle operators that choose to replace with genuine product while our growing Spicer Select portfolio offers Dana-engineered all-makes alternatives for aging vehicles.”

Additionally, Dana has expanded the Spicer Select product range with the addition of two new replacement u-joints covering Meritor Permalube RPL Series drivelines. Dana says the Spicer Select u-joints are permanently lubricated and sealed, providing reduced operating and maintenance costs.

“Spicer Select provides an all-makes option with the quality and performance the market has come to expect from Dana.  Expanding our offerings to include these additional u-joints reflects our ongoing effort to deliver a broad portfolio that meets a diverse set of vehicle lifecycle requirements,” adds Griffin.

Spicer Select drivetrain products are Dana engineered and tested aftermarket products manufactured by a network of carefully selected partners.  The comprehensive development and manufacturing process ensures that products provide proper fit, function, and reliable performance.

Dana says the Meritor Permalube RPL Series are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective holders and are not in any way associated with Dana Incorporated or any parent or affiliate.

Dana says both products will be on display at booth 605 during Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2019 this week in Las Vegas.
