Two suppliers added to VIPAR Heavy Duty vendor list

Updated May 16, 2019

VIPAR Heavy Duty has named Peterson Manufacturing as an approved lighting vendor, and has announced a supplier program with Torque Parts LLC.

Prior to being named an approved VIPAR Heavy Duty vendor, Peterson had built strong connections with Power Heavy Duty, one of VIPAR’s wholly owned subsidiaries.

“VIPAR is elated to announce the addition of a new partnership with Peterson Manufacturing. Peterson is a long-standing, ‘Made-in-the-USA’ brand and we are thrilled for the opportunities moving forward that their line will bring to our membership,” says David Wanhala, VIPAR Heavy Duty program director.

“The VIPAR Heavy Duty buying group leads the industry and we’re proud to be a part of it,” says Matt Altenhofen, Peterson’s territory sales manager who spearheaded the effort. “With VIPAR’s heavy presence across North America and beyond, and with the strength of our USA-made lighting in niche markets like refuse and chassis, we both have exciting opportunities to target new markets together.”

Additionally, Torque Parts says its new partnership with VIPAR Heavy Duty will provide stockholders access to more than 35,000 air springs that Torque Parts has in its inventory at competitive prices. The company says more than 800 different types of suspension, air brake, wheel end and cabin parts also will be part of the program.

“We believe that this program will help all parties involved in the aftermarket which is becoming more competitive every day,” Torque Parts says.
