Continental says Inter City Tire and Auto Center, Inc., based in Elizabeth, N.J., has been in business for more than 35 years and operates one of the largest independent heavy-duty truck repair centers in the New York Tri-State area, in addition to its multi-location commercial tire service network. In August, Inter City Retreading converted its 20,000 sq.-ft. production facility and upgraded to new retread equipment. The upgrades allow for initial production of approximately 78,000 retreads annually, the company says.

And the partnership with Inter City Retreading is important to Continental.

As part of the ContiLifeCycle dealer network, Inter City Retreading will be offering Continental’s ContiTread brand of retreaded truck tires to its customers throughout New Jersey as well as lower and middle New York, the company says.
