Kinedyne to hold securement training program

Updated Mar 27, 2016

Kinedyne LLC says will offer its free Cargo Securement Regulation Training Program at 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. on April 1, 2016, in room B101, during the upcoming Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville, Ky.

The training follows Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, and is designed to reduce Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) violations, minimize liability and promote highway safety while eliminating inaccuracy and ambiguity in the area of cargo securement protocols, Kinedyne says.

Kinedyne’s Cargo Securement Regulation Training Program is an all-inclusive instructional presentation that provides attendees with an in-depth understanding of FMCSA regulations and how these impact CSA conformity. Kinedyne has also designed a separate program dealing exclusively with the Canadian market, with regulations set forth by the country’s National Safety Code Standard 10 – Cargo Securement (NSC10), the company says.

“Kinedyne has trained more than a thousand industry professionals since the program’s inception, and offers the exclusive training course as a public safety contribution to the industry at no charge to participating trailer OEMs, dealerships, fleet and owner-operators,” says Paul Wolford, vice president of sales and marketing for Kinedyne LLC “Kinedyne provides on-site training to all qualified parties, and is the only company in the industry that will bring their expert staff and training tools directly to participants located anywhere in the U.S. and Canada.”

Kinedyne says it also offers scheduled group training at locations throughout its expansive North American distributor network. All participants who complete the complimentary course receive a certificate of course attendance and a free Kinedyne Cargo Control Calculator that enables them to quickly and easily determine strap and tie-down requirements needed to meet compliance regulations.

“Cargo securement awareness has gotten better over the last decade, but there is a lot of misinformation out there,” says Jeff Luick, Northeast account executive at Kinedyne. “Drivers are motivated to be safe and to secure their loads correctly, but in the absence of proper training, I would estimate that a significant amount of cargo is improperly secured, leaving drivers and their carriers exposed to safety violations, rising insurance costs and litigation.”

Kinedyne plans to make a video of its Cargo Securement Regulation Training Program available online, following MATS 2016, and the following link to the video will be live on or about May 2, 2016 at: http://kinedyne.com/video-library.html.
