Yokohama announced a new tire aimed at the commercial van market.
The BluEarth-Van All Seaon RY61 is available in three sizes to cover the most popular vans in the market. Four more sizes will be offered next year.
"The BluEarth-Van All Season RY61 is perfect for smaller operators, as well as larger delivery fleets," says Drew Dayton, senior product planning manager, consumer tires. "That's because the Ry61 offers an optimum balance of long tread wear, excellent durability and reliable performance all year long."
The new tire features large, long-wearing center tread blocks to create better contact with the road surface and enhance tread rigidity for improved performance on dry surfaces. It also features snow snipes for cold conditions. The tire can also improve fuel efficiency as improved materials lowers the tire's rolling resistance.
