One of the key themes discussed this week during the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue at HDAW in Las Vegas was the constant need for additional training throughout all aspects of the industry.
Luber Finer took that to heart – although they didn’t need to be told at HDAW.
Last summer, the company launched its online Luber Finer University which allows sales representatives and service technicians to participate in training exercises.
The company’s website, www.Luber-finer.com/university, contains videos and training modules on different filtration systems.
The first two modules, which were released last summer, are on general filtration and oil. A third module was released on air filtration in October and a fourth, on fuel, is set to be released in February.
“There are videos that are very helpful,” says director of marketing Layne Gobrogge. “For instance, you can use your computer mouse to explode an oil filter to see all the different parts inside and what it is comprised of.”
As people complete each module, there is a short quiz.
