New lecture addresses generational marketing challenges in digital era

The Heavy Duty Marketing Academy has released a new marketing lecture, “Introduction to Gen X and Millennial marketing in the new Digital Era.”

According to Gene Ely, president, Heavy Duty Marketing Academy, current day commercial vehicle marketing is out of balance and no longer responsive to traditional marketing practices developed by the previous generation. Ely says by 2020, 109 million Gen Xers and Millennials will comprise over 77 percent of the workforce, while the Baby Boomers will decline to 23 percent. As a result, Ely says commercial vehicle marketers  must adapt to the demographic shift of these new tech-savvy generations who prefer CX customer experience engagement and who also process marketing and messaging in a vastly different context.
