Western Products, Fisher Engineering debut new snow plows

Updated May 15, 2019

Western Products and Fisher Engineering, two Douglas Dynamics brands, have each introduced a new 10-ft. 6-in. snow plow.

The new plows, which fit Class 4 to 6 trucks for heavy-duty use, are designed with 45-in.-tall, flared wings to accommodate the wider plow and increase its ability to move larger amounts of snow. Other features include a trip-edge design to protect equipment from hidden obstacles whether in v-mode, scoop or straight blade configuration, a larger steel gap cover and UltraLock double-acting cylinders. Curb guards also come standard. These features, along with its increased size, will help contractors be more efficient and decrease the amount of time it takes to complete an account.

“Many contractors have already had great experiences using our MVP 3 v-plow, and a number of them have asked for a larger-sized v-plow that will fit their bigger trucks,” says Doug Clark, Western product manager. “By expanding our line to meet their needs, we’re helping our customers get more jobs done faster, which is always our goal.”

“Our customers love the XV2 v-plow and have been asking for a larger model for their larger trucks,” adds Fisher Engineering Product Manager Tyler Jones. “The new 10-ft. 6-in. model will be a great addition to their fleets and help make their big trucks even more productive.”
