Turbo Solutions has been certified by the Association for Sustainable Manufacturing as part their Manufactured Again Quality Process Certification Program, the company announced Tuesday.
“The Manufactured Again Certification is a symbol of our ongoing commitment to quality remanufacturing,” says John Ferry, vice president, Turbo Solutions.
The association states the certification is only given to facilities meeting standards equivalent to new manufacturing. In order to achieve certification licensing, remanufacturers must meet the following criteria:
- Member of the Association for Sustainable Manufacturing
- ISO 9001 or other approved industry certification
- Approval by the Manufactured Again Certification Committee
What this means for distributors is that every turbocharger that leaves the Turbo Solutions facility has been remanufactured using consistent, well documented and controlled quality processes, the company says. Many of these same processes and controls would be in place for the manufacture of a new turbocharger, the company adds.
“We are excited about the certification, and our commitment to quality means never being satisfied,” adds Ferry. “Manufactured Again Certification is part of our ongoing goal of supporting our authorized distributor network.”
