Five Star International acquires Pennsylvania facilities

Five Star International announced Thursday it has acquired Noerr’s International, based in Lewistown, Pa.

The acquisition of Noerr’s fits into Five Star’s strategy to expand throughout Pennsylvania, the company says.

Noerr’s International has been serving central Pennsylvania with International trucks and full-service parts and service departments since 1937. With this acquisition, Five Star says it will expand its geographic market into the greater State College, Pa., area with two new dealership branches strategically located in Lewistown and Milesburg, Pa. 

“We are very excited to be able to carry on the traditions that the Noerr family has started and bring the resources Five Star has to offer to the dealership,” says Fred Scheler, president and managing member, Five Star International.

Noerr’s International was owned by Ed and Tom Noerr, who have decided to retire after working in the family business for nearly 50 years. They were the fourth generation of ownership for Noerr’s International, which has served Lewistown for more than 84 years. Ed’s sons, Chris and Brent, along with all current employees will continue to serve customers at the present location under the Five Star leadership.

Noerr’s International has been a pillar of the Lewistown, Pa., community with its long-term tenured staff, strong service department, and loyal customer base. “We look forward to building on the strengths Noerr’s has brought to the market and introducing Five Star capabilities and commitment to excellence to the customer base,” adds John Scheler, chief sales officer and managing member, Five Star International.
