Bergey's Truck Centers has acquired Cumberland Truck. The expansion adds five truck centers and eight heavy-duty truck parts and industrial supply stores into the Bergey's Truck Center network.
Bergey's says it will provide commercial truck sales, leasing, rental, service, parts, industrial supplies, and commercial tire services across these new locations, which are found across Pennsylvania and Maryland.
"Our goal is to build on Cumberland Truck’s history of success by learning from each other and leveraging our combined resources, including our industry experts, to offer more commercial solutions to our customers," says Bergey's CEO Mark Bergey.

Three of the five new truck centers (located in Carlisle, Ephrata and Milton, Pa.) will add full service Volvo dealerships to the Bergey's network. The fourth truck center (Harrisburg, Pa.) is a parts, service and tire service center and the fifth (Hagerstown, Md.) offers truck and tire service. Together, the five locations add more than 50 service bays to the Bergey's Truck Center network.
The eight heavy-duty truck parts and industrial supply stores are located throughout Pennsylvania. The company says these locations will continue to operate as Cumberland Truck Parts and Harvey’s Supply Co. Bergey's says these stores deliver new product offerings to Bergey’s customers, while expanding Bergey’s footprint into western Pennsylvania.
Additionally, the company says the acquisition will result in increased warehouse distribution points and significantly increases available parts inventory, which further supports Bergey's brand promise of “Keeping Customers on the Road,” the company says.
"We are really excited about this acquisition and the opportunities it brings to our customers," adds Jim Gavaghan, president, Bergey's Commercial Group. "Expanding our footprint and our product offerings allows us to serve our existing customers with more options, as well the chance to build new relationships with customers in these markets."
This acquisition increases Bergey’s Truck footprint to 24 locations including 15 truck centers, eight truck parts locations, and a heavy-duty parts warehouse.
