Velocity Truck Centers (VTC) announced Monday the company has acquired P & R Truck Centre (P & R), with six locations on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.

VTC says the addition of P & R with its current locations will give VTC 18 locations across Western Canada in British Columbia and Alberta, making it the largest network of Daimler Truck dealerships in the region. With VTC’s 63 locations in the United States, including 11 body shops, offering coast-to-coast coverage of commercial vehicle sales, service, parts, collision and fabrication services as well as equipment financing, and its 15 locations in Mexico, Velocity will have 96 locations in North America, and another 18 in Australia, for a total of 114 worldwide.

Across this network VTC focuses on Speed, Value and Trust, bringing unparalleled customer focus, including two-hour Express Assessment, Elite Support Certification and equipment financing through its Crossroads Equipment Lease and Finance division, the company says.

“We are very excited to welcome the P & R team to what is the most comprehensive commercial vehicle sales, service and support network in North America,” says Co-Presidents of VTC, Brad Fauvre and Conan Barker. “It has been a pleasure to work with P & R’s President, Dave Polack through this process and we are thrilled that he will continue to lead the team on Vancouver Island as we go forward.

“The continuity of the P & R leadership team will enable us to achieve the best of both worlds  a locally led team with total focus on the Vancouver Island market, supported by the resources, processes and functional teams of the Velocity organization. We want to personally welcome everyone from P & R to the Velocity organization, and we look forward to meeting customers on the island in the coming months.”

P & R President, Dave Polack adds, “We are thrilled to welcome Velocity to Vancouver Island and look forward to taking advantage of their resources to better serve our customers. We are convinced this will be a benefit for our customers and our staff as well. The commitment to customer service was a real area of similarity for the organizations and I am excited for the benefits that will happen as a result of the increased focus on training, education, and support. Also, Velocity brings a real expertise in electric vehicles and an even deeper relationship with Daimler Trucks.”
