MacKay & Company on Friday released its release of Q1 2026 Mexico HD Aftermarket Pulse Report.
Building on the company’s DataMac Mexico Truck & Bus report— published every four years — MacKay & Company launched its quarterly Pulse Reports in Q1 2025 to provide more timely insights into Mexico’s parts and service market. Its fifth Mexico HD Aftermarket Pulse Report presents quarterly findings from 21 parts and service providers operating a combined 132 locations across Mexico.
Similar to trends in the U.S., Mexico’s distribution channels have experienced volatility over the past year. In Q1 2026, year-over-year sales remained negative, declining an average of 6.2% — on par with the decrease reported in Q4 2025, the company reports. Dealers reported a 5.0% decline, while distributors experienced a steeper drop of 9.6%.

The company states organizations that achieved sales growth attribute their performance to recovering activity in certain sectors, customer base expansion and increased service labor revenue. In contrast, declining results are driven by softness in the oil market, broader market contraction, reduced service activity, tough comparisons against an unusually strong start to 2025, and ongoing economic uncertainty.
Looking forward, MacKay & Company reports the outlook for the parts market is more optimistic, with both dealers and distributors, on average, anticipating improvement. Responders cites growth in customer base, a projected rebound in the oil sector and targeted sales initiatives are expected to support future gains in parts sales.
