Four Star Freightliner and Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama are teaming up to reward heroes during the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis: truck drivers. While they last, drivers who stop at the parts or service counters at any of Four Star Freightliner’s seven locations will be given a box of Girl Scouts cookies.

“This is just a token of our appreciation because they keep America rolling,” says Jerry Kocan, Four Star Freightliner dealer principal. “What is more American than Girl Scout cookies?  We are very proud to be able to provide a boost of morale to these unsung heroes.”

Boxes of the cookies were donated by Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama. The organization says it is proud to support the community during these unprecedented times.

“We are pleased to support the truck drivers and the companies that help keep them on the road,” says Alicia G. Schneider, chief development officer. “You truly are some of our unsung heroes who are working hard to ensure we have the necessary items we need.”

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has declared truck drivers as essential workers, in addition to a wide array of transportation and logistical occupations that support trucking.
