DTNA’s Nielsen to speak at ACT Expo

Organizers of the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo announced Wednesday that Roger Nielsen, president and CEO of Daimler Trucks North America, will be the keynote speaker at the ninth annual show taking place April 23-26, 2019, at the Long Beach Convention Center in Southern California.

Nielsen will share how Daimler is setting its sights on the future, leading the development of zero-emission electric trucks and drivetrains, and ultra-low-emissions natural gas trucks.

DTNA is returning to ACT Expo as presenting sponsor for their ninth straight year and continues to increase their support and presence at the show. They are expected to showcase a line-up of Daimler’s advanced clean vehicles at the 2019 event, organizers says.

With OEMs front and center, ACT Expo will give attendees direct access to a wide array of vehicles spanning all weight classes, applications and fuel types, organizers say. The expo will showcase every advanced technology and alternative fuels, including electric, hydrogen fuel cell, propane autogas, and natural gas vehicles, along with autonomous and connected technologies.

Heavy-duty OEMs confirmed for the 2019 ACT Expo include, Daimler Trucks North America, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack Trucks, International, Navistar, Nikola Motor Company, and others. In addition, the show floor will feature medium- and light-duty OEMs, such as Mitsubishi Fuso, Hino Trucks, BYD, GreenPower Bus, Kalmar, Toyota, Honda, General Motors and many others.

Organizers add the ACT Expo agenda will focus on the mega trends driving the future of the industry, including connected technologies, efficiency, electrification, alternative fuels, sustainability, and more.
