Michigan dealer providing food to drivers during coronavirus pandemic

West Michigan International/K&R Truck Sales will offer lunches for truck drivers to pick up this Friday as part of its efforts to support drivers and thank them for their work during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET on Friday at its Grand Rapids and Holland, Mich., stores, West Michigan International/K&R Truck Sales says it providing lunches to aid drivers who are struggling to find meals since many truck stop and restaurants have closed due to the pandemic. Drive through options aren’t available for big rigs, the company says, and it hopes its efforts on Friday will provide drivers some comfort and reassurance during difficult times.

The dealer will be adhering to the CDC guidelines of social distancing and hygiene and will be providing a boxed meal that associates can easily hand off to a driver as they drive through.
