Twin State Trailers announces Florida acquisition

Twin State Trailers of Charlotte, N.C., has acquired the Wabash trailer division of Maudlin International Trucks of Florida., as well as the assets of CTTS.

Maudlin International spent 23 years in business under the direction of John and Mike Maudlin. CTTS was a trailer parts and service business with locations in Orlando, Auburndale and Tampa, Fla. Maudlin’s sale of its International dealer business to Cumberland Companies was announced last week.

These two acquisitions will now become Wabash of Florida, providing new Wabash, Benson and Transcraft trailers as well as all makes of used trailers, parts, service and warranty service provided at all locations, Twin State says.

Additionally, the company says it will now have five sales employees to serve all of Florida except the panhandle.

Overall, these acquisitions expand Twin State Trailers to seven total locations representing the Wabash product line in North Carolina, South Carolina., Georgia and Florida.
