Fleetsource LLC, a regional provider of diversified products and services to the medium- and heavy-duty truck and diesel-powered equipment markets, announced the recent acquisition of Dover Diesel Service, located in Carlstadt, N.J., and one of the largest independent Caterpillar and Cummins service dealers and parts providers in New Jersey.

This transaction represents the sixth acquisition by Fleetsource since 2005. Bill Keough, president of Fleetsource, emphasized the importance of this transaction to delivering on the company’s strategic vision.

“In addition to enhanced diesel engine component remanufacturing and parts distribution, this transaction provides us with additional engine diagnostic and on-vehicle service capabilities, including the addition of a full size heavy-duty truck chassis dynamometer,” he said. “The addition of this multi-truck bay service and parts facility in Northern New Jersey will add resources and experience that broaden our geographic footprint and leverage our specialized technology and distribution competencies to create extraordinary value for Fleetsource customers, suppliers, employees and shareholders.”

Keough added, “Despite a poor economic climate, we continue to make investments that position Fleetsource to capitalize on a number of trends affecting the transportation market, including the increasing age of the installed base of medium- and heavy-duty trucks, and the increasing technological complexity of the modern truck that is causing fleet operators to outsource the servicing of these vehicles and demand more from parts providers.”
