Karmak Releases Enhanced Business Management Software
Heavy-duty technology provider Karmak, Inc. has released a major update of its Legend business management system. The software release includes many enhancements for improved management of parts inventory, service, accounting, sales, and lease and rental operations, says the company.

Designed for the heavy-duty truck industry, Legend Version 6.0 also adds new features to Karmak’s ProfitMaster line, including modules for receiving parts orders over the Internet, viewing essential data in real-time dashboards, and creating mobile truck repair orders.

The Karmak Legend system provides heavy-duty truck and trailer dealers, parts distributors, service facilities, and lease/rental companies with a complete management system for single or multiple locations.

Remanufactured Product and Core Identification Chart
Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems updated its Like Nu Remanufactured Core identification chart. With more than 2000 part numbers, the core identification chart includes product photos, product weight, part number and core group numbers for all remanufactured products. This chart helps counter personnel identify products and determine the correct core group.

Clutch, compressors, power steering, water pumps, starters/alternators and valve core groups are included in the chart.

Diesel Engine Oils
Chevron introduced two new CJ-4 compliant heavy-duty diesel engine oils: Chevron RPM LE SAE 15W-40 and Texaco Ursa Super Plus EC SAE 15W-40. These new products are backwards compatible, meeting the previous CI-4 PLUS specification. CAT ECF-3 approval is also part of Chevron RPM LE (low emissions) and Texaco Ursa Super Plus EC’s (emissions control) credentials.

These oils provide anti-oxidation and anti-wear performance along with enhanced deposit control at a lower price point, says the company.
