Jim Callison inducted into Heavy Duty Aftermarket Hall of Fame

James “J.W.” Callison of Midwest Wheel Companies, Des Moines, Iowa, was inducted into the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Hall of Fame during the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Industry Awards luncheon on January 23, 2008, in Las Vegas.

“J.W. certainly fits the criteria and is deserving of this honor,” said John Minor, executive vice president, Midwest Wheel Companies, who accepted the award on Callison’s behalf. “He propelled our company to an industry leadership position through technology and, more importantly, human resources-the people employed by the company.

“He is known by most of the people to this day in the industry as a consummate gentleman and as a true icon of the industry,” Minor said.

Callison retired in 1997 and now resides in Naples, Fla.

Presented by RL Polk and Co. for the second year, this award recognizes individuals, companies and organizations that have made a significant contribution to the industry. The criteria used are length of service in the industry, significance of impact on the industry, commitment to industry participation and thought leadership.
