Karmak sells 100th Director Series software system

Karmak, Inc., recently installed its 100th Director Series service shop and parts inventory management system at Roadmaster Fleet Services, Inc., in Brooklyn Park, Minn. The software package offers service shops, parts distributors, and fleets with service operations a cost effective solution for tracking unit repair costs, scheduled maintenance, and parts inventory, says the company.

“We are pleased to welcome Roadmaster as our 100th Director Series customer, and are committed to providing the high-quality technology solutions and customer service that our customers rely on,” said Bill Healy, president and CEO, Karmak. “This important milestone validates our business concept and marks Karmak’s successful expansion into vertical markets.”

The Director Series software leverages Microsoft.net and Windows technologies and is said to reduce paperwork, improve customer service, and increase shop efficiency. The ServiceDirector module tracks all preventive maintenance needs, analyzes repair orders, and tracks service time and parts. PartsDirector, which is available as a standalone parts inventory application, helps reduce inventory costs and increase inventory efficiency with cross-referencing, core tracking, cycle counting, and profit analysis reporting, says Karmak.

Integrated with QuickBooks Pro accounting software, Director Series also features an interface with suppliers’ Karmak Legend and Info 5 business systems for streamlined parts ordering.
