WABCO introduces OnGuardMax

WABCO Holdings, Inc. introduced OnGuardMax at the IAA 2008 trade show in Hanover. It is said to be the industry’s first system for autonomous emergency braking (AEB) in collision imminent situations with moving or stopped vehicles.

Also at IAA 2008, as previously announced, WABCO presented its new trailer telematics technology that increases operating efficiency for transport businesses. WABCO also launched its new modular automated manual transmission (AMT) system that enables vehicle and transmission manufacturers to accelerate product application and time to market.

The company showcased a suite of new technology and product innovations at IAA 2008 for vehicle electronic architecture, dynamics and stability control; compression and braking; driveline controls; trailer systems, and aftermarket.

“Powered by our exceptional engineering capability, WABCO’s innovation showcase at IAA further reinforces our technology leadership as we continue to grow and outperform the commercial vehicle market,” said Jacques Esculier, WABCO chief executive officer.
