TSE Brakes joins Marmon Highway Technologies

Marmon Highway Technologies on Wednesday, Oct. 29, announced the acquisition of TSE Brakes Inc. MHT says TSE’s line of brake actuators will complement its portfolio of undercarriage products, including Webb Wheel brake drums, rotors and hubs; Leland brake and wheel parts; Triangle suspension systems and components; and Marmon-Herrington axles and transfer cases for all-wheel drive applications.

Headquartered in Fresno, Calif., TSE manufactures a line of double-diaphragm air brake actuators and service chambers at a facility in San Luis, Sonora, Mexico — across the border from Yuma, Ariz. TSE will continue to operate as an independent company under the existing management team led by President Greg Smith. Terms of the acquisition were not released.

“TSE is a fine addition to our group of companies,” says Kelly Dier, president of MHT, a Berkshire Hathaway company. “This acquisition recognizes TSE’s value to the commercial vehicle industry and will provide additional resources enabling TSE to invest in new products and technologies, and to continue to grow in both domestic and international markets.”
