VHD Equipment Network, a wholly owned subsidiary of VIPAR Heavy Duty, announced it added four new distributor members: Bart Truck Equipment Co., West Springfield, Mass.; Beall Corp. Portland, Ore.; General Truck Equipment and Trailer Sales, Jacksonville, Fla.; and Messer Truck Equipment, Westbrook, Maine.
“We are pleased to add these quality distributors to our roster of members,” said Chris Baer, VIPAR vice president with executive management responsibility for the VHD Equipment Network. “Each of these companies is well respected within its marketplace and a good addition to our growing network.”
Baer added that the VHD Equipment has grown by 10 distributor members that operate from more than 30 locations. In addition, the number of supplier programs available to distributors has increased to more than 50.
According to VIPAR, with the launch of its VHD Equipment Network last year, it became the first group to offer membership to commercial vehicle truck equipment distributors in a national marketing and buying group. It said the VHD Equipment Network leverages the experience and expertise of VIPAR Heavy Duty in the heavy duty aftermarket to focus on the North American commercial vehicle truck-mounted equipment market. The organization, it said, offers members with vendor program management, business services, advanced technology solutions, timely communications and effective marketing tools.
“As VHD Equipment Network continues to grow, we remain committed to providing the greatest value proposition possible to distributors and suppliers,” explained Baer. “We look forward to continued efforts to put our 20 years of experience to work in the commercial vehicle equipment market.”
