Aiming to educate and clear up confusion about the two different engine technologies (selective catalytic reduction and enhanced exhaust gas recirculation) planned by manufacturers to achieve compliance with the pending 2010 EPA emissions regulations, the Great American Trucking Show will host the 2010 Engine Super Sessions and Ride and Drive in Dallas.
The 2010 Engine Super Sessions, scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. at the Dallas Convention Center, includes:
At the conclusion of the Engine Super Sessions, attendees will be able to step off the show floor and into the cabs of trucks equipped with 2010 engine technologies. GATS will be one of the only places where fleets and owner-operators can see, test-drive and compare the new engines firsthand – before 2010. Attendees also will be able to meet individually with engine makers should they have additional questions.
The 2010 Engine Super Sessions is part of the educational Truck Smart Summit held at GATS. Those interested in attending the engine sessions and the Great American Trucking Show may register online at www.gatsonline.com. Anyone registered for GATS may attend the sessions at no charge.
