John Wensel, owner of Wensel’s Truck and Car Repair in Spring City, Pa., was named Truck Pride’s 2008 Service Expert of the Year during the Independent Warehouse Distributors’ (IWD) 25th annual meeting. Truck Pride is the heavy-duty truck division of IWD.
Wensel has more than 25 years of experience in the truck, trailer and auto repair and service industry. He is the 3rd generation involved in the trucking industry, learning the trade from his family and through automotive/diesel school.
Wensel worked at both the family business and with national fleets before buying the family business. He currently has two locations with his eye on a third.
According to the announcement, Wensel’s Truck and Car Repair is able to offer their customers added value under the umbrella of Truck Pride through Triple R Truck Parts in Eddystone, Pa. The announcement said Wensel feels the professional image that Truck Pride provides for him has helped him to grow his business with national, regional and local fleet accounts.
The IWD meeting was held last month in Tucson, Ariz. and featured three days of training, speakers, booth shows and roundtable meetings for their members and manufactures.
