PLATINUMSHIELD BROCHURE
ArvinMeritor, Inc. has released a new brochure detailing its new lineup of remanufactured brake shoes with PlatinumShield coating, which the company said provides industry-leading protection against corrosion and rust jacking.
The PlatinumShield coating resists micro-abrasions caused by the movement of the brake lining against the shoe table during normal use. ArvinMeritor is offering the reman shoes with the new technology at no additional cost over its previous reman product and it includes a threefold increase in warranty protection against rust jacking, three years or 300,000 miles.
MANUFACTURER SPECIFIC CATALOGS
MAHLE Clevite has released two more of its manufacturer specific catalogs. The two new catalogs address all the aftermarket parts in the MAHLE Clevite line for Detroit-Mercedes (Catalog # EP-30DD-08) and Navistar (Catalog # EP-30NV-08).
This includes cylinder components, bearings, gaskets, rings, valve trains, cams, crankshafts and more. The catalogs also include information on all available engine kits.

ENGINE OIL FLYER
A one-page flyer gives an overview of Valvoline’s Premium Blue engine oil, which is designed for use in diesel engines equipped with modern emissions treatment including all types of exhaust gas recirculation and diesel particulate filters.
The flyer explains the advantages of the oil including its wear protection, reduced oil filter restriction at high soot levels, high temperature deposit control and ring/liner wear protection.
The oil is designed to keep soot particles in suspension, even under the higher temperatures and acid levels of cooled EGR, so that the oil maintains optimum flow characteristics in cold weather and at operating temperatures.
