STEMCO Duroline launches friction line

STEMCO Duroline announced the launch of a new line of high-performance friction material for heavy-duty trucks in North America that uses the company’s proprietary “Wave Process” and will be offered in standard, premium and specialty versions.

STEMCO Duroline is the result of a strategic alliance between STEMCO, owned by EnPro Industries, and Duroline SA, a Vipal SA partner, that was announced earlier this year.

The company said the new products deliver “superior stopping performance, longer life, reduced noise and reduced drum wear.” The new friction lineup includes:
· Horizon SP, a value-based product for on-highway customers;
· Crest XL, a high-performance option for more demanding on-highway applications; and
· Vista HP for even more demanding applications.

The company also said it offers the high-end UltraPeak family that includes options for specific applications such as refuse and heavy haul.

“This alliance combines Duroline’s great product with STEMCO’s precision training to improve the braking performance of customers’ equipment while lowering their total operating costs,” said Jon Cox, STEMCO president. “We are very excited to launch high-performance friction to the heavy-duty market in North America.”
