Industry veteran leads Transaxle

Transaxle, a remanufacturer and distributor of heavy-duty truck replacement components, announced David Olsen has been appointed chief executive officer.

Olsen has been in the transportation business for more than 20 years. Since 2003, Olsen has served as president of Workhorse Custom Chassis. In 2005, after Workhorse was acquired by Navistar, Olsen led the integration of Workhorse into the larger Navistar organization. Prior to Workhorse, Olsen spent the majority of his career in the heavy-duty aftermarket arena including creating the UpTime Parts Co.

Additionally, he spent 11 years at ArvinMeritor where he led the North American aftermarket division after holding various sales and product planning roles. His early career was spent in the aftermarket division of Bendix where he held positions in sales and marketing management.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to work closely with the TransAxle team and our industry partners to improve an already excellent company. It’s an exciting time in the distribution industry and TransAxle is uniquely positioned to be a significant player as the market begins to show small signs of a recovery,” Olsen said.
