Attendees at The NATSO Show will be the first to hear new findings on the future of the truckstop and travel plaza industry when The NATSO Foundation releases an industry forecast at a leadership summit during the Show. The NATSO Foundation announced today that it has retained world-renowned market research firm Frost and Sullivan to study the macro and micro trends driving the industry and to unveil findings at a dynamic Truckstop and Travel Plaza Summit slated for Feb. 18.
Sponsored by Michelin, Terra Environmental Technologies and The NATSO Foundation, the session will go beyond merely revealing the conclusions of the 2010 Truckstop and Travel Plaza Trends and Forecast. This dynamic leadership event will also assist industry leaders in understanding how they can apply the findings to their own strategic business plans.
“We’re at the intersection of major changes in the truckstop and travel plaza business,” says Lisa Mullings, president and CEO of NATSO. “It’s not enough to just point out what those changes are and then expect businesses to make sense of them. Even the savviest leaders need hard-hitting, expert advice on how to grab today’s changes and turn them into bold improvements for their customers. That’s what this research and this summit are all about.”
Mary-Beth Kellenberger, Frost and Sullivan’s program manager for automotive and transportation, will unveil the findings during the two-hour Truckstop and Travel Plaza Summit scheduled for Feb. 18. Jeff Bernard, president of J. Bernard Associates, will then facilitate an intense, interactive session to engage a panel of industry leaders, experts and the audience in identifying the study’s implications for the industry as a whole and for individual businesses. J. Bernard Associates is a consulting firm in the area of strategic development and planning, organizational improvement and operational expertise serving a variety of petroleum based marketing organizations.
Attendees at The NATSO Show can explore the study’s implications for their businesses in greater depth by scheduling free, one-on-one appointments with the Frost and Sullivan researchers on Feb. 19-20 during The NATSO Show.
Participants at the Truckstop and Travel Plaza Summit will receive a complimentary executive summary of the research and its findings. The NATSO Foundation will sell the full report to NATSO members for $149 per copy and to non-members for $349. Libraries may purchase the 100+ page report for $249.
The Truckstop and Travel Plaza Summit will occur during The NATSO Show at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The NATSO Show runs from Feb. 17-21, 2011 and the Truckstop and Travel Plaza Summit is set for Feb. 18 from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
